JAMB registration can be confusing, especially for first-time candidates. This guide walks you through every step of the 2027 registration process.

Requirements for JAMB 2027 Registration

Before you start, gather these items:

National Identification Number (NIN) — Mandatory. You cannot register without it.
Valid email address — For your JAMB profile and communications.
Active phone number — Linked to your NIN.
Passport photograph — Recent, clear, with white background.
O'Level results — WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB (can be awaiting results).
JAMB e-PIN — Purchased from approved banks or online platforms.

Step 1: Get Your NIN

If you don't have a NIN yet, visit any NIMC enrollment center. The process takes about 15-30 minutes. You'll receive a NIN slip immediately. Keep it safe — you'll need the number throughout the registration process.

Step 2: Create Your JAMB Profile

Visit the JAMB portal and create a profile using your email address. You'll receive a confirmation email with a verification link. Click it to activate your profile. Your profile is where you'll manage your registration, check your result, and handle admission processes.

Step 3: Purchase the JAMB e-PIN

The JAMB e-PIN is your registration ticket. Purchase it from:

Approved banks (Access, Zenith, First Bank, etc.)
Online platforms (Remita, Interswitch)
JAMB accredited centers

The 2027 e-PIN costs approximately ₦4,700 for the UTME (excluding the optional Mock exam fee). Keep the e-PIN safe — you cannot register without it.

Step 4: Visit an Accredited CBT Center

JAMB registration must be done at an accredited CBT center. You cannot register from home. At the center:

Your biometrics (fingerprints) will be captured
Your photograph will be taken
You'll select your four subjects
You'll choose your preferred institution and course
You'll receive your JAMB registration slip

Step 5: Confirm Your Registration Details
