I scored 250 in JAMB and I want to study Law at the University of Lagos. My O'level is good but not perfect. Is 250 enough, or should I change course?
Can I gain admission into UNILAG Law with 250 in JAMB?

A 250 is a solid UTME score, but Law at UNILAG is one of the most competitive programmes in the country, and the UTME score is only one part of the decision.
What actually matters:
- Departmental cut-off, not just the general JAMB cut-off. Competitive departments set their own, much higher, screening scores.
- Post-UTME / screening performance, where the school uses one.
- O'level grades, especially English and Literature.
- Catchment and quota rules, which can affect the final list.
Do not assume 250 guarantees a place, and do not change course on rumour alone. Check UNILAG's official cut-off and screening notice for the current session, and calculate your aggregate using their published formula.
If Law is your goal, a realistic Plan B is to strengthen your O'level and screening preparation, or consider Law at a school where your aggregate is genuinely competitive. Confirm every number on the university's official page — social media cut-offs are frequently invented.
