Change of institution moves your JAMB application to a different school. Use it when:

  • You are sure the new school accepts your subject combination and course.
  • The new school is still screening or has advertised vacancies.
  • You have checked the current change-of-institution fee and deadline.

Do not use it when:

  • You are simply impatient and your first-choice school has not finished screening.
  • An agent tells you a school "has space" without an official notice.
  • The new school's cut-off is clearly above your aggregate.

Once you change, you are usually committed to the new choice for that cycle. Confirm on the JAMB portal and keep the payment receipt.
