About JambUp

Is JambUp free to use?

Yes. Past questions, worked explanations and timed CBT mock exams are free once you create an account. Optional paid plans exist for candidates who want more, but they are not required to practise.

Are the JAMB past questions on JambUp real?

They are sourced from past UTME papers, tagged to the syllabus topic each one tests, and paired with a written explanation. Our full sourcing, verification and correction process is documented on the how we verify questions page.

Is JambUp affiliated with JAMB?

No. JambUp is an independent preparation platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, and nothing here is an official JAMB publication.

Which subjects are available on JambUp?

JambUp covers the main UTME subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Economics, Government, Commerce, Literature in English, Geography, CRS, Islamic Studies, Accounting, Agricultural Science and others. Each subject has practice questions organised by topic. Browse by subject.

Is there an iPhone or iOS app?

Not yet. The native app is currently available on Google Play for Android. iPhone, iPad and desktop users can install JambUp as a Progressive Web App from their browser and practise on the web, which includes offline access to supported features.

Can I use JambUp offline?

Yes, on Android you can download supported questions for offline practice, which is useful when data is expensive or unreliable. Progress syncs back to your account when you reconnect.

Practice and past questions

How many questions should I practise per day?

Aim for 20 to 40 questions a day across your subjects rather than one long weekend session. Consistency is what makes past-question practice work, because it relies on repetition and correcting the same mistakes.

Should I practise by subject or by topic?

Both, at different stages. Start with topic practice to fix specific weaknesses, then move to full timed mocks to build pacing. Our analytics tell you which topics are actually costing you marks, so you are not guessing.

Can I practise past questions by year?

Yes. We publish a page for each exam year showing which topics that year tested most, with sample questions and worked answers. See JAMB past questions by year.

Does JAMB repeat past questions?

Not the exact papers, but the topics and the phrasing patterns recur constantly. That is why practising past questions raises scores even though the wording changes year to year.

What if a question looks wrong?

Flag it. Every question can be flagged from the practice screen, and flagged questions go to review. Corrections apply to everyone. Our correction process is described on the verification page.

JAMB 2027 basics

When is JAMB 2027?

See the JAMB 2027 exam date page, which publishes dates only once JAMB confirms them rather than guessing.

How do I register for JAMB 2027?

Our step-by-step registration guide covers NIN requirements, fees, accredited centres and the errors that void a registration.

What score do I need for my course?

It depends on the institution and the department, not just the national minimum. See JAMB cut off marks for how general and departmental cut-offs differ.

Which subjects should I register for?

Use of English plus three subjects that match your course. Check the subject combination guide first — the wrong combination can make you ineligible regardless of your score.
