JAMB 2027 Exam Date

JAMB 2027 Exam Date, Mock Date and UTME Timetable

The confirmed dates where JAMB has published them, and an honest gap where it has not — plus a revision countdown built backwards from exam day so you always know what to do this week.

2027 exam date: not yet officially confirmed

JAMB has not published the 2027 UTME timetable. You may have seen an 'official' date circulating — treat it as provisional until JAMB announces it directly. We publish the confirmed date here rather than a guess, because candidates who plan around a wrong date get caught out badly.

What you should do now: assume the examination is early in the year and start timed practice immediately. A plan built for an early date still works if the date slips; a plan built for a late date does not survive a date that moves forward.

Is the 2027 exam earlier than usual?

There have been public reports that the 2027 examination timetable is being harmonised to hold earlier in the year than previous cycles, so results can be released sooner and admission rounds can start on time.

Treat this as reported, not confirmed. Education reporting in Nigeria regularly publishes dates ahead of the official announcement, and those dates are sometimes revised. Nothing on this page should be read as a JAMB statement unless it appears in the confirmed box above.

Either way, the strategic conclusion is identical: prepare for an early date. Moving your study plan forward costs you nothing if the examination holds later; being caught unprepared costs you a year.

Work backwards from exam day

Whatever the final date turns out to be, the shape of good preparation does not change. Use the distance between today and exam day to decide what to prioritise.

Time left What to do
12+ weeks Learn from the syllabus topic by topic. Untimed practice to find gaps. No full mocks yet — they would only measure what you have not studied.
8–12 weeks Begin subject-by-subject past-question blocks. 20–30 questions daily per subject. Start a mistake log and revisit wrong answers after three days.
4–8 weeks Move to timed sets. Take a full mock exam weekly and review it properly. Attack your two weakest topics relentlessly instead of re-revising what you already know.
2–4 weeks Full mocks twice a week under exact exam conditions, including time of day. Fix pacing. Consolidate formulas and recurring question types rather than learning new material.
Final week Light revision of your mistake log only. Confirm your centre, route and time. Protect your sleep — fatigue costs more marks in the final week than any last-minute topic.

On exam day

Bring

  • Your printed examination slip
  • The identification JAMB requires for your centre
  • Yourself, well rested and early

Leave behind

  • Phones, smart watches and any wearable device
  • Notes, textbooks or 'crib' material
  • Anything that could be read as an unauthorised aid

The first ten minutes decide the tone

Arrive early enough that biometric verification is not a race. Once seated, read the interface before rushing into question one, and decide your personal rule for questions you cannot solve quickly — flag and return. Candidates lose more marks to stuck questions than to genuinely unknown topics.

JAMB 2027 exam date: common questions

When is JAMB 2027?

Not yet officially announced. Any date circulating online is provisional until JAMB publishes the timetable. We update this page the moment it is confirmed.

Is the exam moving earlier this year?

It has been widely reported that the 2027 timetable is being harmonised to hold earlier in the year. That is a report, not an official JAMB announcement. Plan for an early date regardless.

When is the JAMB mock exam?

The mock date is announced separately from the main UTME, usually a few weeks before it. It is optional but strongly worth taking.

How long is the UTME?

It is a tightly timed computer-based test across four subjects, working out to roughly a minute or less per question. Pacing is a scored skill, and it is built through timed practice rather than reading.

What do I bring on exam day?

Your printed examination slip and the identification required for your centre. Leave phones, smart watches and study materials behind. Arrive early enough that biometric verification is not rushed.

Is there still time to prepare?

Yes — but not for a leisurely pass through the syllabus. If you have under a month, start with timed mocks and your weakest topics, then work outward. Consistent daily practice beats a heroic final week.
