Yaba College of Technology Cut Off Mark 2027
YABATECH does not have one cut off mark — every course has its own bar. Here is the range to aim for in each course, from the least competitive to the most.
YABATECH cut off mark ranges by course
These are the ranges to aim for, ordered from the most competitive course down. Treat them as targets, not as a published list — departmental bars move every admission year.
| Course | Score to aim for |
|---|---|
| Engineering | 130–180 |
| Management & Business | 125–175 |
| Pure & Applied Sciences | 120–165 |
| Environmental Sciences | 115–160 |
| Social Sciences | 115–155 |
| Arts & Humanities | 110–150 |
| Agriculture & Related | 110–150 |
Aim above the top of your range, not inside it. Sitting at the bottom of a range leaves your admission dependent on how competitive that year turns out to be. The candidates who get in comfortably are the ones who overshoot the bar rather than just clearing it.
The national minimum still applies
Whatever YABATECH asks for, you also have to clear JAMB's national minimum for your level of institution. It is the floor, not the target.
| Institution level | National minimum |
|---|---|
| Universities (degree) | 150 |
| Polytechnics (ND) | 100 |
| Colleges of Education | 100 |
| Colleges of Nursing | 140 |
YABATECH cut off mark: common questions
What is the YABATECH cut off mark for 2027?
YABATECH does not use one single cut off mark. Each course has its own bar, and the ranges run from about 110 for the least competitive courses to about 180 for the most competitive. Engineering sits at the top of that range.
Are these official YABATECH cut off marks?
They are competitive ranges to aim for rather than a fixed published list. Departmental cut off marks are set during each admission round and move from year to year, so a range is a fairer guide than a single number that may already be out of date.
What score should I aim for at YABATECH?
Aim above the top of the range for your course, not inside it. Being at the bottom of a range leaves you dependent on how competitive that year turns out to be; being above it gives you a margin.
Which subjects do I need for these courses?
Check the subject combination guide before you register. An invalid combination makes you ineligible for the course regardless of your score.
Does meeting the range guarantee admission?
No. Admission also depends on your O'Level grades, how competitive the course is that year, catchment and merit rules, and your post-UTME screening result.
